Overview
Finechef allows order cancellations within specific timeframes depending on the type of product purchased. This policy ensures clarity for customers while supporting efficient processing for Finechef and its vendors.
Standard Orders
Standard, non-custom items may be cancelled within 24 hours of placing the order, provided that the order has not entered the processing or preparation stage. Once processing begins, cancellation is no longer possible, and the order will proceed to fulfilment.
Custom Orders and Special Configurations
Custom-made items, personalized items, or products requiring special order preparation may be cancelled only within one hour of ordering. After this period, cancellation is no longer possible because materials, labour, and vendor processes may already be underway.
Customer Responsibility for Custom Details
If a custom order is processed based on incorrect specifications, measurements, designs, or instructions provided by the customer, Finechef and the vendor cannot be held responsible for the outcome.
In such cases:
- The item cannot be cancelled after the stated window.
- The item cannot be returned or refunded, as it was produced according to the customer’s own instructions.
- The customer assumes full responsibility for any errors in their input.
This clause protects both Finechef and vendors from losses arising from incorrect customer-provided details.
How to Cancel an Order
Cancellations must be requested through your Finechef account under My Orders, or through our verified customer support channels. Cancellation requests made through social media, direct rider communication, or unofficial methods will not be recognized.
Refunds for Approved Cancellations
If a cancellation request is approved, a refund will be issued to the original payment method within three to five business days. Processing times may vary depending on your payment provider.
Non-Cancellable Items
Certain items cannot be cancelled once they have been ordered. These include:
- Perishable and time-sensitive goods
- Bulk or wholesale orders
- Custom-made or personalised items after the cancellation window
- Special-preparation items where vendor processes have begun
- Vendor-supplied items that have strict non-cancellation rules
