Overview

Finechef works with independent third-party delivery partners to fulfil customer orders. Delivery fees, timelines, and processes depend on the courier handling the shipment.

Delivery Fees

Delivery fees cannot be displayed at checkout because couriers must inspect the packed parcel before determining the cost. For this reason, the delivery amount temporarily appears as “0.00” or "0" during checkout. This does not mean delivery is free. Once the courier assesses the parcel, they will provide the actual delivery fee, which you may pay directly to the courier or through Finechef so we can forward payment on your behalf. All delivery charges are the responsibility of the customer.

Delivery Timelines

Delivery times vary based on courier availability, route conditions, vendor preparation time, and distance. While we may provide estimated timelines, the final delivery schedule is determined by the courier.

Order Tracking

Customers receive updates via SMS, phone call, or app notifications once their order has been dispatched. Tracking capabilities depend on the courier being used.

Failed Delivery Attempts

If a courier attempts delivery but is unable to reach the customer, additional fees may apply for redelivery. This includes cases where the address provided is incorrect, the customer is unreachable, or no one is available to receive the package.

Responsibility after Dispatch

Once an order is handed over to the courier, responsibility for the package transfers to the customer. Even so, the Finechef team will always assist in following up with the courier and helping you track your order if any issue arises.
